Used this to finish my acrylic tubes to length. It’s simultaneously perfect for fine-tuning length and also for removing 4” of extra tubing easily (as opposed to using a saw)
I had to lower the rating to 4/5 because one of the five i got leaked and it would not be worth returning due to shipping and restock fees the others are working with no problems hopefully that one was just a fluke.
Looks so good and clean, zero leaks.
If you need additional offset distance, get the supported offset fitting.
The bit made the job at hand so much quicker to get the burrs and hard edge off the tubing. Once you get the feel of it (take a spare piece of tube and practice) you can grind down to get a very precise length. Would recommend.
I have never had a problem with any Laing D5 so far(1). I have had several Laing pumps and one of this specific model. It is quiet, has adequate(2) output, and the PWM mode works well. While NOT inexpensive, I have several Laing D5 pumps that are over 10 years old still going strong.
(1) I have had Laing DDC pumps fail. I do not recommend DDC pumps.
(2) The output of this pump is adequate but could certainly be better. I am getting a second one to be sure that I get adequate flow.
